Hello to all members!

I have been using calculate linux, based on gentoo.

I have problem with firefox,I want to keep version 38.6.0,but when I masked a package,I keep getting old versions in emerge process.
Tried to exclude firefox from world, but maybe I made some mistake.

Please help.

Thank you very much for your effort.

Why do you want to use 38.6.0? There is a 38.6.1 security release that should otherwise work the same as 38.6.0.

Moved from Portage & Programming to Unsupported Software.

To avoid Gentoo users being mislead if a solution developed here does not work in Gentoo.

you can get it from archive or if you have it install in your system you can regrab the ebuild from /var/db/pkg/pkg-cat/pkg-name-version where the ebuild is kept.
and move it to your own repo

There is one thing that I dont understand. Package 38.6.1 is stable, but it's masked. Why ? I installed 38.6 because 38.6.1 has been masked.

RIA77 ... how can we possibly tell you, we don't use Calculate Linux, it is they who are providing you with ebuilds, keywording, etc ... ask them.

best ... khay
