Hi,
General question - What client would the Gentoo society recommend for all round use in the following?
- Personal/Business: Chat, Voice, Video, Screen sharing, Conference
# https://packages.gentoo.org/categories/net-voip
After some searching on the net, I've narrowed it down to Ekiga & Homer.
Thanks!

Why not firefox?
But for doing simple voip calls I never use the computer. Just use my phone and "dial" the sip-uri. |

I guess its just preference - I've moved over from windows & whether in personal or business communications I have used Skype/Lync/Lifesize/BlueJeans/Whatsup as a means of communication etc...
To be perfectly honest, FirefoxHello never really occurred to me as an option. Probably because I'm still quite windows orientated and I'm looking for a more centralized application/platform orientated to communications instead of having multiple platforms; not sure if FirefoxHello can do this?
Maybe that's an outdated view on communications these days.... not sure really.
I'm assuming FirefoxHello only connects to Mozilla platforms correct? and if this is the case.
Do you know of any frameworks the encompass full compatibility settings to connect to a wide range of clients...
Just being inquisitive |

No idea what a "Mozilla platforms" is. If not firefox, then maybe any of the other WebRTC clients is what you are looking for? |
