If I try to start khelpcenter from the buttons on the kicker I get a dialog that says

KDEinit could not launch 'khelpcenter':
Could not find 'main' in '/usr/kde/3.1/lib/kde3/khelpcenter.la'.
/usr/kde/3.1/lib/libkdecore.so.4: undefined symbol: main

If I try to start the help center from the k menu or read any of the application handbooks it dies for the same reason but outputs the message about not finding 'main' in '/usr/kde/3.1/lib/kde3/khelpcenter.la' to stderr instead of a message box.
The really wierd thing is that it works just dandy if I type khelpcenter in a konsole session. I've already tried remerging both kdelibs and kdebase with no luck. Anybody have any ideas (oh and if it helps I've got both kde3.0.3 and 3.1beta1 installed)

i see you got 3.1beta where i believe help is not available yet....none of the apps will spit out any help....

Today I found out I have the exact same problem... Really weird it starts from the console, but not from kicker or the menu. I tried to create a shortcut, but that also failes...
Too bad, I think 3.1 really rocks (with konqueror tabbed browsing)... |

Well I'm going to go with the help not available in 3.1beta1 thoery seems reasonable since other things aren't there either *cough*kpilotaddressbookconduit*cough*
