Hi,
Did something really stupid in the past, two actually.
About 3 years ago, I've set a max in a 'config' file or kernel so that the nth connection attempt to my vif bridge would be refused.
I"ve deleted any bakup file for this setting.
VM is created but vif connection is not found in domU. Back to normal if I destroy&recreate of reboot domU.
example : When hitting vif4.0 when starting domU, its dmesg gets :
Code: | [ 0.112666] vif vif-0: 5 writing feature-rx-notify
[ 0.112803] vif vif-0: failed to write error node for device/vif/0 (5 writing feature-rx-notify) |
whilst after reboot every thing goes fine at vif5.0.
Now I don't know how to recover.
Maybe the setting is not for vif but for any nic, though it only applies to vif in my case.
SInce it happens in xen dom0 domU env, maybe it could be at application level, despite I upgrade regularly.
If I'm not mistaken, could also be at python level, as long as it is involved in the lauching of a xl create command.
Anyhow I'm totally lost.
Any idea at least how to track down the origin of this horrible pain?
