Hi everyone,
Whenever my laptop awakes from suspend, I have just enough time to move mouse cursor to unlocking screen controls, then mouse stops working. I then have to unplug the USB mouse and plug back in. Then it works perfectly again. This only happens after suspend. Does anybody know how to make sure that USB mouse functions continously without me having to unplug and plug into USB every time after suspend?
Thanks,
Victor. |

try another kernel version, ...
update the firmware of your mouse when it is a "gamer" mouse ...
these resume / suspend issues are kinda common, they used to be .. |

Kernel is one of the few things my system can upgrade - my system has some updating issues which we discuss here: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-1016282.html
I've recently upgraded to 4 but the problem remains.
Do you think that if I were able to completely update my system this problem might have been fixed? Thanks. |

My opinion:
it depends on kernel / hardware / openrc - eudev - systemd - static-init ... / and userspace
hard to track down where it happens. but you may update all packages and "hope" it will be gone... |
