I have researched this for the last couple of days but it has me stumped. I am getting the following errors on startup in kde.log yet KDE runs fine:
Code: | klauncher(2241) kdemain: No DBUS session-bus found. Check if you have started the DBUS server.
kdeinit4: Communication error with launcher. Exiting!
kdmgreet(2221)/kdecore (K*TimeZone*): KSystemTimeZones: ktimezoned initialize() D-Bus call failed: "Not connected to D-Bus server"
kdmgreet(2221)/kdecore (K*TimeZone*): No time zone information obtained from ktimezoned |
Yes, DBUS is running and ConsoleKit is running, and both are defaults:
Code: | # /etc/init.d/dbus status
* status: started
# /etc/init.d/consolekit status
* status: started |
Nothing strange in messages, dmsg, or Xorg.0.log. Nothing in .xsession-errors and .dmrc contains:
Code: | $ cat .dmrc
[Desktop]
Session=KDE-4 |
Please help. Thanks! _________________ Gentoo Linux is groovy, baby! Yeah! |
