Intel card dual monitor setup

I have an intel graphics card and would like to have two desktops, one for each monitor. The main motivation for me is the ability to go fullscreen on only one monitor. The only solution I found on the internet is TwinView and applies to nvidia cards.
Is there a way to have such behaviour with intel card?

You mean maximize a window so that it spans only one monitor and not both? Just enable USE="xinerama" for your toolkit/window manager.

Or do you mean different logged in users, each with his own desktop, on every screen (multiseat)?
