Could be my module for my bt adapter. It is an out of tree module for the Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8723AU 802.11n WLAN Adapter which has intergrated bt. It seems to work fine for transfer files etc. Supposedly when the 'Bluetooth Settings' panel is visible then the device should be discoverable. If I run bluetoothctl is shows the device as discoverable:

I issued the 'show' command. The output shows the device as not discoverable at first but the last three lines show that when I started 'Bluetooth Settings' that the device is discoverable. However my cell phone does not find it and an iphone 5 does not find it nor does my synology NAS.
I can pair with other devices easily enough. But is one way I have to pair from my laptop and am not able to from my phone. Maybe this is intended behaviour.
Any ideas?
