when I compare the output of lsmod of 2 subsequent kernel versions: Code: | sudo lsmod | sort > lsmod-`uname -r` | , then (in the past) for vanilla kernels I got just few lines, which do differ. For a hardened kernel nowadays however nearly all module file sizes are different. /me wonders why |

My first guess would be "wasted" memory due to the use of randstruct and similar features. |
