|
|
Hi, i'm using CFLAGS="-march=core-avx-i -O2 -pipe" for my i5-2430M (Sandy Bridge) cpu.
Now i'm lookin on this wiki page: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Safe_CFLAGS#Core_i3.2Fi5.2Fi7_.26_Xeon_E3.2FE5.2FE7
which suggest to use -march=corei7-avx-i
Insted, -march=core-avx-i (which i'm using) is adviced for Ivy Bridge, the successor of my Sandy Bridge.
My question is: Could it give me some problems? Is better to rebuild all the system with the right -march value, or i can continue to use attual settings without any risk/problems?
Thank you! |
