Hi All
I have done allot of updates on a server this weekend. Most things seem to be working but I keep getting an error when I start amavisd.
| Code: | mail amavis # /etc/init.d/amavisd start
* Starting amavisd-new ...
Can't open PID file /var/amavis/amavisd.pid: Permission denied at /usr/sbin/amavisd line 17371. [ !! ]
* ERROR: amavisd failed to start

I have added amavis to the clamav group and vice versa but that hasn't solved it.

The problem was amaviz needed to be owned by clamav and part of clamav group.
