Konqueror in kde 3.0.3 causes instability

I noticed that my machine will crash in one day totally while using konqueror browser, first system comes sluggish and later everything stops responding and eventually system hangs..

Now my uptime is 6+ days and everything still working 100% ok, I havent started konqueror on this period of time..

I'm using gcc version 2.95.3

my system is:

grue@nolife grue $ uname -a
Linux nolife.local 2.4.19-gentoo-r7 #7 Tue Aug 13 17:44:08 EEST 2002 i686 AuthenticAMD
with lowlatency & pre-emptive patches compiled in kernel. I also noticed that while using konqueror there was much less free memory available.

Anyone else experienced same kind of problems / any ideas how to fix this.

No problems here. but try looking into the Properities / setting and the memory usage that is set for local browsing.. i think it has it turned off.. Try turning it on to use Full Memory for local browsing..
