I'm not much experienced in portage matters. Sorry if I broke something on your system
But I think you can install lua-5.1 along side lua-5.2. The ebuild puts lua-5.1 in slot=0 and lua-5.2 in slot=5.2. Try to emerge lua-5.1 if you have not done so already. May be we need 'eselect-lua' for this which is however masked for testing. |

Oh no saivinoba. I thank you for your time.

For more information about Blocked Packages, please refer to the following
section of the Gentoo Linux x86 Handbook (architecture is irrelevant):

It is the same situation as above.
Where is the error?
Thanks

I'm not sure. I'm on Gentoo ~amd64 and I'm not getting any lua update when I do world update. I have 5.1.5-r3 as you do. In my machine some lua items are masked.
| Code: | # Matti Bickel <mabi@gentoo.org> (22 Apr 2014)
# Masked slotted lua for testing
app-admin/eselect-lua
=dev-lang/lua-5.1.5-r2
=dev-lang/lua-5.1.5-r100
=dev-lang/lua-5.2.3
=dev-lang/lua-5.2.3-r1
|
Can you check on yours? If not how about masking lua-5.2 yourself for the time being and continue with world update? | Code: | | echo "=dev-lang/lua-5.2.3-r1" >> /etc/portage/package.mask |

Nothing to merge; quitting.

Thanks a lot saivinoba.
This solves the problem.
Thank you again.
