Hello,
I am running gentoo on a laptop (ux31a) with Gnome 3. My keyboard is french (azerty).
My problem is i cannot find a way to use any Ctrl+num shortcut. I do not understand why, since this should be a known issue.
On my azerty keyboard i need to use shift to type '1', so that i can either type Ctrl+Shift+1 or Ctrl+&, but not Ctrl+1.
These shortcuts are used on chrome for example: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/171571?hl=en , and on several programs.
However, they work perfectly fine when i change the layout of my keyboard.
How can i have these shortcuts functionnal with a french layout?
update: It seems that on another system running openbox, with a layout that requires Shift to type 1, Ctrl+1 is interpreted as Ctrl+1 and not Ctrl+Shift+1.
Does anyone know what piece of software is executed when typing keyboard shortcuts, so that i can change its settings or edit the code to my needs? |
