Hello,

I'm running xfce4 and can't seem to get skype (4.2.0.13) to not start up when I log in (using lxdm). When I go into my "Session and Startup" configuration I don't see skype mentioned anywhere. Can't find it in /etc/lxdm either. Any ideas?

In your home directory try checking .config/autostart/ (note the leading full stop). If have noticed it being used by some stuff that is set to autostart when I log in.

You can see at this directory: /etc/xdg/autostart.
Quote:
Autostart entries are the same as menu entries, simply .desktop files filled with information on the program. All autostart files are stored in the /etc/xdg/autostart directory.

Are you trying xfce4 settings manager (xfce-base/xfce4-settings)? http://docs.xfce.org/xfce/xfce4-session/preferences#application_autostart

I was. I just figured this out; it turns out that I'd saved the session with skype still running in the system tray. I just saved it again and rebooted and no more skype.

Thanks for all the help!
