There is a problem in the ZFS ebuild. It wants to pull in gentoo-sources, but I already installed a kernel. How I can fix this?

Please show us at least the emerge output, the best would be with the --tree option.

Not the emerge --info (although that might eventually be helpful). The output of emerging zfs-kmod or whatever you're emerging.

So, did you install the kernel source through Portage? If so, what source package did you install? If not, what did you do?

What's the name of the kernel you installed and the name of the overlay?

It's probable that the zfs-kmod build needs access to the kernel source code during build. Note this excerpt from the zfs-kmod build log:
Code:
 * Package:    sys-fs/zfs-kmod-0.6.2-r5
 * Repository: gentoo
 * Maintainer: ryao@gentoo.org
 * USE:        abi_x86_32 elibc_glibc kernel_linux policykit rootfs userland_GNU x86
 * FEATURES:   preserve-libs sandbox splitdebug userpriv usersandbox
 * Determining the location of the kernel source code
 * Found kernel source directory:
 *     /usr/src/linux
 * Found kernel object directory:
 *     /lib/modules/3.10.7-reiser4-r1/build
 * Found sources for kernel version:
 *     3.10.7-reiser4-r1
 * Checking for suitable kernel configuration options...
 [ ok ]
<snip>
So you're probably going to need to install some kernel source package, configure it, compile it, and (ultimately) be running from it to install the zfs-kmod module.

Ahh, bliss, as in ignorance is. ;)

The bliss-kernel appears to install a set of abbreviated source code, which may be adequate to compile zfs-kmod. First thing you need to do is to ensure that the linux symlink exists in /usr/src. For example:
Code:
cd /usr/src
ln -s linux-3.12.20-KS.01 linux
(substituting the exact directory name you have). Second, since the bliss-sources are sufficiently non-mainstream, they don't satisfy the virtual/linux-sources dependency, which is why another kernel source package is being pulled in. Tell portage that some Linux source package has been installed by creating a file named /etc/portage/profile/package.provided containing:
Code:
sys-kernel/gentoo-sources-3.12.13
After that, try your emerge again. If it fails, you're probably going to have to choose a different kernel.

- John

Edit: Corrected package.provided recommendation above.

The symlink exists. Creating package.provided still pulls in gentoo-sources.
I checked virtual/linux-sources ebuild
Code:
RDEPEND="|| (
                sys-kernel/gentoo-sources
                sys-kernel/vanilla-sources
                sys-kernel/ck-sources
                sys-kernel/git-sources
                sys-kernel/hardened-sources
                sys-kernel/mips-sources
                sys-kernel/openvz-sources
                sys-kernel/pf-sources
                sys-kernel/rsbac-sources
                sys-kernel/rt-sources
                sys-kernel/tuxonice-sources
                sys-kernel/usermode-sources
                sys-kernel/vserver-sources
                sys-kernel/xbox-sources
                sys-kernel/zen-sources
                sys-kernel/aufs-sources
        )"

Maybe that's why it want to emerge gentoo-sources? Maybe in funtoo they have a modified ebuild

Hmm. Something funny going on there. Let me work on it.

That is indeed why, but the package.provided mechanism should short-circuit that. I'm investigating.

See the corrections to my package.provided recommendation above. Sorry; I was one directory off. This should work for you.
