Updated world a couple days ago and now Brasero fails to burn audio CDs showing an error msg "Impossible to link plugin pads". After looking around google, elogs, and bugzilla I am stuck.

Does anyone know what these 'plugin pads' are? gst-plugins-base I guess. I re-emerged the good, bad, ugly, etc, as they were updated last sync. No joy.
Thanks,

ck3n,
Thanks for the reply.
I remember being puzzled that no one responded to this post implying a configuration issue on my part. IIRC I solved the problem by negating the libburn flag of the Brasero pkg. This is shown in package.use file still. Looking at the Brasero log above it seems obvious now. I suppose I should test this idea.
I don't know what you mean by 'the problem was my audio files were protected'? Read protected?

NeddySeagoon,
Yes, that must be it.
Most of the burning I do is related to my membership in a 'originals only' band. I do recall being frustrated at being unable to provide the band with CDs of the previous week's recording. Do you think the Brasero/libburn transcoding problem was due to DRM then?
Thanks,
shrike |

I tested my files with other burning software including WMP and none could burn it, WMP had a message saying it was missing some credentials or something like that so i believe it must be the DRM thing like NeddySeagoon said. |
