| The latest version of qt-creator in portage is 2.8.1, which is quite old. The newest one is 3.1 and contains very cool new features. It still runs fine with Qt 4. Why is it not in portage? |

| I'm using Qt Creator 3.1 with Qt 4 right now and all the features are working as far as I can tell. |

Ok, apparently there are 3 plugins that need qt5:

Project WARNING: QmlProfiler plugin has been disabled.
Project WARNING: Welcome plugin has been disabled.
Project WARNING: These plugins need at least Qt 5.2. |
Probably not essential for most people. |
