This must be possible, right ? I hope it's not a multimedia question. Anyway: lspci | grep Audio: | 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation NM10/ICH7 Family High Definition Audio Controller (rev 01)
01:00.1 Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Cedar HDMI Audio [Radeon HD 5400/6300 Series] | They both appear in the XFCE mixer panel. The NM10/ICH7 has lot of controls and works well. The AMD has just an IEC958 check-box, no volume in or out. I wonder if it what I think it is, namely a headphone and microphone jack on the front panel of the deskside box. Maybe not, because that's not a PCI device. So how can I find what the two sockets on the front panel are, i.e., how to drive them ? if they're not that AMD audio device (and if not, what is it ?) _________________ Michael Mounteney |
