https://packages.gentoo.org/package/media-video/ffmpeg What's the reason ffmpeg 2.* is hardmasked? When can I expect it to be put in the unstable branch (or even stable)? There's one feature I need from the later 2.* releases.

Hi,

such masks are defined and usually commented in /usr/portage/profiles/package.mask.

In this case:
