What has happened to the Root Terminal in the Accessories menu on Gnome 2.32.x? My laptop has it on the system but my newly installed amd64 box is missing that item. What do I need to do to get it back in the Accessories menu?

It isn't there, unfortunately. I did look a while back.

You will NOT believe this but you have to install KDE to get the Root Terminal menu item in GNOME. *blinks*

As an aside, I finally solved this one. You need to install the gksu pacakge to get the root terminal capability. Only just discovered this one configuring a new VM tonight! :-)
