Seems unlikely. All he asked for was to see the video. I'd think Facebook could figure out how to do that.

A horizontal projection of a cylinder is approximately rectangular. It's like in Flatland, where different kinds of people are different shapes, but they can't tell the difference, because when you live in two dimensions, you can only see one. If you exist entirely in a two-dimensional plane, and you're looking at a triangle, you don't know it's a triangle, because all you see is a line. Similarly, we live in three dimensions, and when we look at the cylinder, we really see a rectangle. Our brains fool us into perceiving it as a three dimensional shape, by taking into account shading, changes in perspective as our relative position changes slightly, perspective clues based on a comparison of two images from slightly different positions (left and right eye), and memories about similar shapes. Nevertheless, we really only see a two dimensional image. That's what's projected onto the retinas of our eyes: two-dimensional images. Combining them does not magically produce three dimensions; it just gives us a hint to help us pretend in our minds what the three-dimensional reality is.

Q.E.D. portrait mode image resembles beer can. :P

Blah, blah, blah, blah. I was referring to holding it. You don't drink from a can by ogling its two-dimensional existence, ya nincompoop!
