|
|
Gnome 3's vendetta against being configurable has been hard over come. Lucky the the gentoo GNOME 3.8 upgrade guide has been a real help. However according to the guide one can set the lid-close-ac-action to blank in order to stop gnome from suspending when I close the lid and am plugged. However when I tried running Code: | gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power lid-close-ac-action blank
No such key 'lid-close-ac-action'
| dconf-editor was not able to find this key either any ideas? |

No, I have seen the method referred to on that thread but all it does is block the action for closing the lid.
The behaver I would like is
#1 If my laptop is plugged in and I close the lid lock the screen
#2 If my laptop is not plugged in and I close the lid it goes to sleep.
This simple setting is trivial in unity, windows, older gnomes. I fail to see why it should be so hard now... |
