hi, i am new member and currently wan to configure the uclinux for the nios2, but now stuck on some problem when type the command of make config under the directory of /usr/local/src/nios2-linux/uClinux-dist, but the output is "no rule to make target 'menuconfig'. stop "in ubuntu linux. I try many way to solve it but not succesfull..ANYONE have experience for this problem and how to solve it? Anyone can HELP? thanks for reply !!

Just a guess. But if you invoke the make command you need a make file for that. It is some sort of instruction for make itself.
Check your path / directory or environment...

well I have no clue about uClinux but you're trying to manually configure and compile a kernel. To configure it you need to use menuconfig or other tools or "make oldconfig" if you were happy with the previous kernel.

So... As you are on ubuntu you are unlikely to have a "linux" symbolic link in whatever src directory you are looking to build to. As you seem to suggest /usr/local/src/nios2-linux/uClinux-dist is the source directory you want to use have you tried symlinking it to /usr/src/linux just like you would any other kernel?

ls -al /usr/src
if there is no directory that just says "linux" and is a different colour feel free to do this and then try again
Code:
ln -s /usr/local/src/nios2-linux/uClinux-dist /usr/src/linux
