Intel committee members say court discredited Snowden
Quote:
A key U.S. congressman said a recent court ruling on the National Security Agency undercut the message of NSA leaker Edward Snowden.

Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich., said on "Fox News Sunday" that Snowden's contention the NSA's so-called metadata mining was illegal was contradicted this week when a federal judge in New York said it met legal requirements.

"I think this most recent judicial ruling is important for one reason: It re-instituted faith in the institution of judicial oversight, congressional oversight and the checks and balances within the executive branch," said Rogers, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee.
Apparently he likes this ruling better than the ruling which said it wasn't legal.

Elite team of NSA hackers said to 'get the ungettable' with Bond-style tactics
Quote:
The German magazine Der Spiegel reports that an elite team of NSA hackers employes techniques like modifying computer monitor cables to record what is typed on the screen and fitting USB sticks with radio transmitters.

A German magazine lifted the lid on the operations of the National Security Agency's hacking unit Sunday, reporting that American spies intercept computer deliveries, exploit hardware vulnerabilities, and even hijack Microsoft's internal reporting system to spy on their targets.
I wonder what Mr. Rogers and the judge he rode in on would think of someone OTHER than the government doing such things. To them.

And the infos from 2013 seem to be only a small percentage of what snowden has to offer to the media. Let's see what other highlights will follow in 2014.

I just love the emphasis of the "NSA's so-called metadata mining". Nice brainwashing.

LOL Nazi State America

Speaking of brainwashing, this is Stalinism more than Naziism. You know, like the COMINTERN dicks who turned your country in a blood-bath by agitating and making bullshit Obama-like promises that ultimately caused the deaths of half a million unwitting "popular front" puppets without accomplishing jack squat? Yeah, those people: the ones who murdered a billion of their own citizens in the last hundred years alone. Those people. So, let's please try and keep our terminology straight. It should be National Stasi of America or perhaps the People's Democratic Republic of North Obamaland.

The STASI mostly terrorised its own people and those from the outside who dared to interfere with the DDR. The Nazis tried to export the totalitarian state to Europe. The NSA is certainly very special in its effort to rape the whole world.

The truth is that I get a 13th and 14th month salary. And a bonus. And paid overtime. And Euros, not US dollars. You are just jealous. :D

not really :) I get a bonus if the company is doing well and the business unit I am in meets its objectives. I got one last year, I did not get one this year.
I would rather not get a bonus *IF* it meant that the risk of redundancy is reduced. Equally if everyone in the country is given a lump sum reliably like that every year then there is inflation going on as everyone then has "increase disposable income" short-sightedness basically.

Huh? My salary is xx.xxx €/year by contract. That "free months salary" in December and July is just 2/14 of my annual salary. Which means that I only get xx.xxx/14 every month. And *I*FUCKING*HATE*IT*.

I do spend extra on summer holidays and Christmas, but let *ME* manage my money, stupid fucking government :x

Mommy and Daddy Government know what's good for you. They are doing this for you, because you can't be trusted to save money. Besides, this drives home the lesson that it's not really your money at all but the State's. Good little doggie; here, have a doggie treat. You didn't build that. Your vacation is a treat, courtesy of Mommy and Daddy Government.

There is no government here which dictates the labour agreement. It's an industrial agreement and that says 12 months of salary for 12 months of work. My employer gives me 14. The government however sets the minimum of vacation days. My labour agreement extends that. Nobody would spend only 1 or 2 weeks of vacation per year here. That is because we actually work hard during the rest of the year. Perhaps that model would be an improvement for the desolate situation in the USA. :P Happy New Year, poor yanks.
