Is anyone working with BTRFS? It seems to be taking an age to make any progress... _________________ In the land of the free you are only one party away from dictatorship at any time. |

I've given up on it. When its ready, I may take a look again.
I started paying more attention to OpenZFS / ZFS on Linux. I patched and tested it (very briefly) on a CentOS box. The basics seemed fine. I haven't gotten around to using it on Gentoo (I can't say as I'm overly excited about maintaining my own kernel -- gentoo hardened + zfs, ideally). _________________ I can saw a woman in two, but you won't want to look in the box when I'm through.

The last commit to the kernel froze the on-disk layout which is actually a big milestone.
I personally am waiting for vtrfs rather than go for zfs _________________ The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter

I am using zfs for a while now for my data tank and /var
works well so far. Its checksumming convinced me of the need to buy ECC ram. _________________ Study finds stunning lack of racial, gender, and economic diversity among middle-class white males
