Hey there!
Host: Win7-64 with vmware, vbox, qemu
With vmware and qemu after ramdisk it's asking for root device UUID and I can't continue to work with my new gentoo install as I really don't know how to fix that. And why that is? With virtualbox it boots flawlessly. Any idea?

Partly solved (i.e. for vmware):
Did a boot from gentoo current install iso and chrooted into my gentoo-installation as described in handbook.
I then recompiled the kernel with help of this post switching the important SCSI modules to "built-in". That was my fault preliminary compiled them as modules only.
Testing for qemu pending. |
