I'm having two problems with recent installs, that I haven't had in the past.
The one with mutt is this--more often from console mode (vs. xterm) I will run into the following. I have mutt set up to filter messages into various mailboxes. When done with one, say, gentoo-user, I'll delete most of the messages--at that moment, I get the error message segmentation fault and mutt closes. This is more or less random.
When it closes, I'll see that I now have a new mailbox in my .maildir called, for example, IN-L-gentoouser.lock
Umerging and re-emerging mutt seems to fix this, but I'm curious as to why it's happening and wondering if it's a permissions issue that I'm missing.
The second problem is in w3m (Should probably make a separate post for this but...)
Again, this is only in recent installs. When I start w3m, if I click on a link, and sometimes even if I don't, a message comes up on the page reading
***debug *** [/var/tmp/portage/gpm-1.20.0-r1/work/gpm-1.20.0/src/liblow.c(202)]:
I haven't had this problem in the past. For the heck of it, tried starting gpm (which I don't normally use) from /etc/init.d however, this doesn't seem to fix the problem.
Searching the forums and mailing lists indicate that no one else is having these difficulties--haven't found anything helpful on deja either.
So, I'm wondering if I'm simply missing something obvious or if someone has had these problems and fixed them.
TIA
