Hi, I just installed Gentoo and used KDE.

The konsole font is so small that I could not even recognize the letters...
And all letters are blurry, even worse, some letters are swallowed by the consle
(well, actually they are just hidden, they only show up when the cursor scrolls over them)

I used setfont tool but it seems no use...

Well, actually I found the default browser font are so tiny and ugly too...

Is it the resolution problem? I've tweaked it but found the current one is the best-fit one.
And I am using a hybrid graphics cards system, and now only the Intel integrated
card is working, I don't know whether this is a cause.

Thanks for any suggestion.

Have you set the font properties in System settings -> Application appearance -> Fonts ?

Activate anti-aliasing and configure your favorite font ...

Hi, I've tried that, but the console text is not affected.

If changing the monospace font does not help you have no chance. Well. You have -> Konsole preferences offer all you need ;)

Default font in the console are terrible, as well as in the GUI apps (including browser).
I would suggest you to try droid fonts for GUI application and terminus font for konsole.
Install these fonts and activate them: for GUI - System Settings->Application Apperarence->Fonts. For konsole - Menu->Settings->Manage Profiles.

Thanks, this works.

I now just wonder which font config takes predences over fonts selection and rendering ?
The KDE SystemSetting or the fontconfig ? And how to know which font I am using?

Thanks.
