previously had codeblocks 12.11 emerged, now i wanted to have the nigtly build
added dev-util/codeblocks ** to package.keywords

but the emerge fails:

Code:
checking whether to use gtk-notebook as default notebook... yes
checking which (if any) contrib plugins to build...
Error: Unknown contrib plugin no.
       Note: the names are case-sensitive!
Try ./configure --help for exact spelling.

!!! Please attach the following file when seeking support:

That looks like a badly written configure test. Passing --without-contrib-plugins is equivalent to --with-contrib-plugins=no. There are two problems here. First, the script should use enable, not with, for managing internal features. Second, the script should have accepted no as the standard way of refusing the feature.

ok.

is there any way to fix that?
do i need to/can i modify the installation script, at least until it is fixed in portage, i just need a running version.
should this be reported on gentoo`s bugzilla or codeblocks or should not be reported at all?

It can and should be fixed in the configure script. You could try to work around it in the ebuild or have the ebuild patch the script, but it would be better to fix the configure script upstream. I doubt the Gentoo maintainer for the package would accept a bug report, since you did choose to use a live ebuild. Those are entirely dependent on upstream not committing broken code, so their quality can vary wildly. Reporting it to codeblocks would be helpful, unless you think they will find this thread and fix the problem on their own.

i have no experience with the inner workings of emerge, so for the last few hours i could not go anywhere with installing using a modifed ebuild script.
could someone please tell me what should i do to emerge codeblocks by modifying the ebuild?

i tried according to this (https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=5378) thread the following:
ebuild /usr/portage/dev-util/codeblocks/codeblocks-9999.ebuild fetch
ebuild /usr/portage/dev-util/codeblocks/codeblocks-9999.ebuild unpack

than i tried modifying the ebuild script and replaced use_with to use_enable, ebuild said there is a digest mismatch

Why are you changing use_with to use_enable? Unless upstream has fixed their configure script in the meantime, that is the wrong change. The right change is to fix the configure script not to die. You might get a working result if you modify the ebuild to entirely remove the use_with and not replace it.
