|
|
kde 4.11.2
skype 4.2.0.11-r1
On the taskbar if I select Skype, and from the list select either Skype or the active chat, the Device Notifier pops up.
On the task bar if I mouse hover over Skype and select from the thumbnail that becomes available it works as expected ie. No Popup.
This has been going on for the last several versions of KDE.
Is anyone else experiencing this, or found a way to solve it?

Same here, but I notice it with konsole. Just started for me with 4.11.2. I had had it masked and just gave it a go. Now I have this stupid device notifier popping up every time I switch Konsole windows. Driving me nuts. |

I installed the Konsole Profiles widget on my task bar, so all my konsoles are tabs on the konsole window, so I did not notice it there.
Yes annoying, pain trying to rememberer to mouse hover and click the thumbnail.
I'm rummaging around Google when time permits looking for answers.

Updated to 4.11.3 and the problem still persists. I also took the advice in the kde forums and deleted .kde4/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletrc but no dice. Still get the device notifier popping up upon window switches. |

I also upgraded kde to 4.11.3 and deleted that as well and yet the problem persists.

I accidentally deleted my taskbar so when I went to add it back I saw an option for Default Panel", it added a new taskbar with the generic stuff added, I added the widgets back that I use and noticed the problem with the device notifier and skype was now gone.
