I have been trying to update my Gentoo install and qtgui will not compile and ends no matter what version I use (4.84 or 4.8.5). It always ends with error:gui/image/qjpeghandler.cpp:163:12: error: cannot convert 'bool'to 'boolean' in return. Any help out there from my fellow Gentooer's. Been around a long time, searched the forums, Google, and have not found a solution. Ready to pull what little hair I have left out.

Sorry I can't post more of the output but I'm using twm which will not let me cut and paste.

Thanks for the quick response. After a little more digging I did find a bug that has to do with jpeg-9-r1:Bug 480182. Although I couldn't apply the patch what finally worked was I downgraded jpeg to jpeg-turbo and all is compiling great. I do not use a multlib-straight x64- so no problems in that area. Whew, running Gentoo used to be a heck of a lot simpler back in the day-i.e. 2001.
