I'd like to connect my Gearhead Smart Touch Pro KB4700TP USB keyboard to my laptop but when I do the keys are messed up like the layout is wrong. Do I need to define multiple keymaps so I can use both my built-in laptop keyboard and my USB keyboard? |

At the office I sometimes have to use my laptop, which has a British-English keyboard, with a USB keyboard for another locale (US-English keyboard layout, or whatever). When I'm using KDE, I can configure and select the different keyboard layouts via System Settings > Input Devices > Keyboard > Layouts. When I'm using Xfce, I do something similar via the Xfce GUI or by using /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/00-keyboard.conf and e.g. Shift-Alt, as explained in my post Selecting different keyboard layouts in Xfce. _________________ Clevo W230SS: amd64, VIDEO_CARDS="intel modesetting nvidia".
