That don't seem a true error from emerge. Maybe is information from process in background.
In the previous line say:
Quote: | * Creating a menu file (may take a while) ... |
¿How long are you waited? |

and returned to the computer when I posted the other answer to quilosaq, and emerge are stopped at same point. |

Thank you for all, but I've installed a fresh system with fluxbox and I used the same flags that were in the old make.conf. It was probably an environmental issue, which did not have time to resolve. |

I've run into the same issue.
Using 'ps -efww', I've isolated the offending process as:
Code: | portage 20277 20276 2 18:08 pts/7 00:00:00 convert /usr/share/qpdfview/qpdfview.svg /var/tmp/portage/x11-wm/fluxbox-1.3.5/temp/home/.fluxbox/icons/qpdfview.xpm |
I tried rebuilding media-gfx/imagemagick, gnome-base/librsvg-2.36.4, and app-text/qpdfview, but building fluxbox always failed on the same icon during the menu generation step.
I've come up with two work-arounds.
(1) Move /usr/share/qpdfview/qpdfview.svg to a temporary location while building fluxbox, and move it back afterwards.
(2) Update to the testing version of dev-libs/glib (I keyworded 2.36.4-r1), along with the required dependency testing versions of dev-libs/gobject-introspection, media-libs/harfbuzz, x11-libs/pango, and x11-libs/pangox-compat (all required by using the testing version of glib).
In the end, I settled on option (1) because I became worried about using the testing version of just a handful of core libraries mixed in with mostly stable versions. |

The 'convert' program that was frozen is part of imagemagick, so I wanted to see if rebuilding it fixed the issue.
The fluxbox menu generator looks like it was using convert to build up thumbnails for each application it identified. |

I had the same problem and solved it by updating imagemagick to version 6.8.6.8-r1. Then I could successfully emerge fluxbox to version 1.3.5 |
