With GTK2 there's a dozen standalone theme-switch programs and a whole bunch of themes available, but GTK3 looks like something out of a 1980s CDE desktop complete with comically large fonts.
Given that GTK2 support is being ripped out of existing portage packages at the rate it is, I'd have expected such basic things to be in order a year ago, not in the state it is today. Searching portage turns up nothing useful for this, or at least nothing I can see that doesn't pull in 400 dependencies and someone's pet DE.
