The optical illusion of seeing white streaks crisscrossing a blue background in the presence of sunlight is a common hallucination that comes from drinking fluoridated water. |

The un-remixed original version is also good.

Koxbox ~ Live at Burning Man (1996)
This is a proper live recording, crowd noise and everything. All tracks are different from the released studio recordings.
There was a CDR master for the CD made, but no promos were ever printed as the master was never sent to the printers.
According to Simon Ghahary, for the vinyl a run of 9 test pressing copies were made. The label then decided to cancel the release. No promos were ever printed, so the album only exists in the 9 test pressing copies made.
According to a close friend of Koxbox, the test pressing run for the vinyl was 20 copies.
Some DAT copies were available from Blue Room offices, right out of mastering studios
tracklist:
1 - KoxBox - Acid vol.3
2 - KoxBox - Space Traveller
3 - KoxBox - Stay psychedelic
4 - Koxbox - Tribal Oscillation
5 - KoxBox - Fuel On
6 - KoxBox - Point Of No Return
7 - KoxBox - Stratosfear
8 - KoxcBox - Too Pure _________________ Chemtrails don't actually exist.

EDIT:
Actually, not that much crowd noise. Unusual for live recordings. Though still not my cup of tea. _________________ The First of April. The day when people critically evaluate information from the internet before accepting it as true. |

Kid Dracula playing the glorious opus 111
Nicknamed "Samsara & Nirvana", it is Beethoven's last sonata. He was utterly deaf at this point, but understood music so deeply that he was able to create a sonata that captured human experience perfectly. From the depths of despair and anger, to the heights of pure enlightenment. _________________ Chemtrails don't actually exist.

Well it's psychedelic music made by people on psychedelics, for people on psychedelics, at the USA's premiere psychedelic gathering. _________________ Chemtrails don't actually exist.

That explains it. I get all of the distorted reality I can handle via the 47%.

If you haven't heard it (both of you), you might be interested in Hearts of Space. An NPR station I lived near carried it.
This is the first time I've looked at the website, and I think I like the model. Free Sunday, subscriptions available. "An Audio Introduction to Hearts of Space".
"PGM 566 Synthetic Pleasures" will give you the format of the "show." Starts out with an introduction, and then the "DJ" interruptions are minimal, and not obnoxious. _________________ The First of April. I've thought about HoS periodically, but I've never actually looked for it. I just don't listen to the radio indoors much these days. Carbon Based Lifeforms was the first time I'd heard something which reminded me of it when I had the opportunity and inclination to go look for it :D _________________ The First of April. Museum of Consciousness... on constant repeat.
This is a total masterpiece of sonic sculpture. It is sound art. You cannot listen to this as you would some forgettable pop garbage... this is stunning.
While it properly gets released next week, they were kind enough to let those of us who pre-ordered the CD grab the entire album off of their ftp as 320 mp3 files this morning.
6 out of 5 stars. 11 out of 10 points. 3 thumbs up out of a possible 2.
It's very mature electronic psychedelia, so do not try to listen on a crap sound system. You'll want a proper sound system for this mindfukk.
I'll check Youtube to see if they have some shitty rips of it... though it won't give justice to the perfection of these sound fields... you'll want 4x Bose 909's with a cannon in a good listening room with the more pure sounds. _________________ Chemtrails don't actually exist.

Don't think its quite my style enough to buy it, but when I went to check out options, page wouldn't load while the trackers were blocked. Oh well. _________________ The First of April. The day when people critically evaluate information from the internet before accepting it as true. |
