|
|
I need to install firmware for my laptop Intel Centrion Advanced N 6205 AGN. http://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Wifi shows I can use sys-firmware/linux-firmware or sys-firmware/iwl6005-ucode. since iwlg6005 is masked, I emerged linux-firmware instead(prefer not to use masked if I can help it) But, it does not seem to be beneficial for my wifi adapter. Why did the wiki list linux-firmware for my Intel wifi card...should it work as an alternative to iwl6005-code package? |
