Got to be good for evolution.
IMO, the only reasonable justification for vegetarianism. Most of those issues can be avoided by not purchasing from the ecoli factories.

Diseased beef making the rounds again in Europe. Tuberculosis. They say it's just fine to eat, as long as the slaughterhouse cuts out the infected lymph nodes that they notice.

So I guess it is also Karma when she punishes vegetable eaters. Seems Leviticutian.

I've never eaten horse meat (at least that i'm aware of) but i wouldn't mind trying it.

The line, for me, gets drawn at insects/spiders/weirdshitlikethat... That's gonna be a hell of a problem for me when "normal" food runs out.

It is red meat, dark red for adult horses and foal meat (more expensive) is a bit lighter but still has a darker red shade if compared to veal meat, in fact it contains a lot more iron. The taste is also a bit ironish and definitely different from cow meat. There are a couple of Italian burger chains here and they do serve horse burghers, together with chianina, piedmontese burghers, but I never tried it ...

I've just prepared some horse meat for my little daughter (11mo) and she likes it :-) we give her every week a different kind of meat or fish just to make her taste various kinds of food.

Hopefully the EU will agree a certification process similar to cow meat for horse meat, so even in Europe better not to eat it outside countries that traditionally eat horse meat (I think Italy France Germany) .... ;-)
