|
|
I upgraded my system from G 3.6 to G 3.8 and now the "suspend when lid is close" function is not working anymore.
I read that this could be solved by changing from openRC to systemd (A.GnomeF.K.M.??) because the gnome devs have placed the suspend code inside systemd
So my question is:
there is a possibility to have this function integrated into openRC (in a near or a distant future) or am i forced to change from openRC to systemd?

My workaround is using acpid instead:
uncomment lid line in /etc/acpi/default.sh with suspend command:
Code: | echo mem > /sys/power/state |
restart acpid, done _________________ HighWayToHell(blog)

gooood it works
The only problem is that it doesn't ask for the password at the resume
EDIT: this command can be used to lock screen
Code: | dbus-send --type=method_call --dest=org.gnome.ScreenSaver /org/gnome/ScreenSaver org.gnome.ScreenSaver.Lock
|
i tried to add it to default.sh but it doesn't work |
