Hi guys.
Seriously, no idea what may be the exact cause but I have upgraded to KDE-4.10.0 and had to learn that the new /media path for removable devices is now /run/media/user/whatever...
So far, so good. There is only nothing under /run/media. If I create a directory with my username and chmod 777 it, newly inserted devices will be mounted. After a reboot it is of course removed again So I am looking for a more permanent solution here.
If I try to mount the device in dolphin, I get this error:
Code: |
An error occurred while accessing 'MULTIBOOT', the system responded: An unspecified error has occurred: Adding read ACL for uid 1000 to `/run/media/martux' failed: Operation not supported
|
So... is this "acl" related? I don't have it and I don't want it either /etc/make.conf -acl)[/code]. If this is a hard dependency now, why did the installation didn't mention it? _________________ "Coincidence is God's way of remaining anonymous."

Hi,
The udisks ebuild suggest that you must have CONFIG_TMPFS_POSIX_ACL in your kernel. |

If you want to avoid acl you have to get rid of all *kit stuff. This is a major part in their "vertical integration" concept (and one of many reasons why I would never recommend to use *kit if you want to have a secure system). |

@netfab:
Thanks for the hint, that was exactly what fixed it! _________________ "Coincidence is God's way of remaining anonymous."
