|
|
using asus p8p67 deluxe with 2500k overclocked to 4.4
I just did a fresh install and I'm using gentoo-sources 3.9.6 and I can't seem to be able to get i7z to correctly see my overclocking
I know it is working since under ubuntu i7z is showing the proper speed
is there any specific "thing" that i should do? |

It's a CPU-specific thing, so you might need to modprobe msr or cpuid first. |

it seem the only thing that i had to do was Code: | /etc/init.d/cpufrequtils start |
before doing this, my clock was stuck at performance at 3.3ghz (default speed) and was taking 16m50s to build gcc 4.7.3
after starting cpufrequtils with ondemand, compiling gcc took 13m30s and i7z was showing the proper 4.4 ghz speed
that was simple |
