Hi,

Since my last world update – including a Firefox update – both the menu and right click are not working properly anymore. The first click works, after opening another tab or doing something similar the menus wouldn't open anymore until I restart Firefox.
I have already started it directly from terminal, but there were no error messages.

I have also rebuilt Firefox, but there were no changes, maybe some library is broken?

Do you have any idea what could be the issue here or how to find it?

Try reproduce this issue with disabled addons:
Code:
firefox --safe-mode

If issue isn't reproduced then one of your addon breaks your firefox.
You can disable addon one by one and check which addon breaks your firefox.
If issue is reproduced with disabled addons then try with new firefox profile.

Thank you for your suggestion, I didn't think about that.
However, the problem also persists in safe-mode, so I guess it's not due to addons.

I have done a kernel update as well which included a video driver update (if I remember correctly), so could this be due to the video driver update? On the other hand, the menus and right click work for all other applications but Firefox.

The only two things I can now think about is rebuilding every package that is needed for FF (which will take a lot of time) or resetting (or unmerging and remerging) and reconfiguring (which is annoying) FF, but I rather consider them the last possibilities.

Are you trying with new firefox profile?
You can move ${HOME}/.mozilla/ folder from ${HOME} to another place and start firefox as usual. It it helps that your firefox profile is broken.

I have now renamed the .mozilla folder and tried again.
Interestingly, the issue takes some time until coming up (not just one click, but a few ones are possible), however, the problem itself persists.

According to my favourite search engine, no one else seems to have (had) this problem, strange.

Yes, hardware acceleration is already deactivated all the time.
I now have rebuilt every package (at least I think it was all ones) that is needed by FF and even unmerged and remerged FF, however there is no change. I cannot think of anything else I can do now, especially since all other applications work fine.
