Hello @ all,

i have a litte problem. I have a PRIMERGY TX150 S8 server with 2xSAS and 2x SATA HDDs.
Both a configured as a Raid1. So i have one SAS Raid1 and one SATA Raid1

I compieled the kernel with
Code:

genkernel --dmraid --menuconfig all

The sas raid works perferct and it´s listed in /dev/mapper. Gentoo is installed and run perfect on the sas raid. But i can´t find my SATA Raid. The Sata drivers are included to the Kernel
Code:

Device Drivers
<*> Serial ATA and parallel ATA drivers
      [*] ATA ACPI SUPPORT
      [*] SATA Port Multiplier support
      <*> AHCI SATA support
     <*> Platform AHCI SATA support.

fdisk -l shows only the SAS HDDs.

I have no ideas why the SATA Raid is not found.

Check "lspci -k" to verify that a driver is in use for your SATA controller. Or are all drives connected to the same controller?

If it is fakeraid, then it might be unsupported by Linux and the drives may show up individually.
