Hello,

If your system supports QT, try qupzilla, based on QT/WebKit. It's in the qt overlay.
With GTK, you have Midori (based on GTK/Webkit).

Or Dillo (old, don't know if it is yet maintained).

And links2 is able to run on framebuffer devices, but not fully HTML5/JavaScript/Bloat compliant.

if you like the vi key bindings.... i've found both dwb and luakit to be very good. they are lightweight extensible browsers that use webkit/gtk

Has anyone found light browser that is stable?

luakit is nice but unstable. (random crashes).
midori is unstable (random crashes).
surf seems quite stable but lacks address bar/new url loading.

So now im using chromium just because it is stable.

I'm not sure if it would work for your needs, but you might want to check out uzbl.

I've used Arora, it's a lot like a Qt version of Midori. Works pretty well except it hasn't been updated in 2.5 years...

Every WebKit-based browser will require WebKit (yeah ;)) which in turn requires libx11 (be it webkit-gtk or qtwebkit). So not an option for syn0ptik.

@Ant P.
Arora seems to be dead. Probably you want to try qupzilla. It feels quite lightweight (turning on AdBlock makes it really fast!) and if we get support for Qt5 in Gentoo it also won't crash so often anymore. webkit1 is - ugh...

You can try netsurf, it is not WebKit based, and works either on the console or with a GTK+ UI.
