Something in my setup is blocking airplay functionality on XBMC.
I've an iMac which has the iTunes library connected to a gentoo box using a switch with DD-WRT.
The iMac does not sees the gentoo box as an airplay receiver, whilst it sees what Avahi is advertising.
Gentoo box:
Code: | Linux robot 3.8.13-gentoo #2 SMP PREEMPT Fri May 17 12:20:22 CEST 2013 x86_64 Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU D525 @ 1.80GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux |
XBMC was compiled with:
Code: | Installed versions: 12.2(02:53:36 AM 05/25/2013)(X airplay alsa avahi bluetooth css nfs opengl projectm python_single_target_python2_7 python_targets_python2_7 rsxs samba sdl sse sse2 udev upnp usb vaapi vdpau webserver xrandr -altivec -bluray -caps -cec -debug -gles -goom -java -joystick -midi -mysql -neon -profile -pulseaudio -pvr -python_single_target_python2_6 -python_targets_python2_6 -rtmp -sftp) |
Do I need to configure Avahi to advertise the airplay service?
Thanks |

Same issue on my System.
I've also compiled airplay-totem-plugin but my Iphone doesnt find it either.
avahi-browse _airplay._tcp shows: http://bpaste.net/show/GGblSOJEDTjhduRPlgZk/ .
And I did what Apple said, I turned it off and on again
Of course avahi-daemon avahi-dnsconfd are running.
I have no Idea what I could do to get it work, Would be really great if someone has an answer. |
