Hello guys,
well, I would like to learn something and stop to shoot the void. My question is simple, Where can I buy some books to learn how the gentoo file system works, to learn script and how to access to the source code an modify, complile/install the most simple program.

Please, anybody so polite to help me?

pd: I know a bit of C from microcontollers, and i feel that i don't know nothing, but maybe could be a beginning.

Hi Yczo,
There's a lot of documentation on Gentoo available in the Handbook and in Documentation List.
Then there's also "Linux Sea" by Sven Vermeulen Gentoo dev.

To install Gentoo I use sysrescuecd.Based on Gentoo,has firefox to browse Gentoo docs and mc to browse (and edit) files.
The same disk can be used for 32 and 64 bit installs.
You can follow the Handbook verbatim.

That book is a great place to start. Here are a couple of other resources you may want later.

There are many resources here, although some are a little old (click on "Guides" and "HOWTOs":
