Hi guys :
Today I somehow collapsed my gentoo !:( I was working with my gentoo and when I restart it my gnome has been crashed ! and I faced with error "oh no!something has gone wrong" I wanted to fix it with rebuilding gnome-base/gdm and gnome-shell ! and I did a stupid action and I remove both of them in order to emerge them again and now I face lots of problems ! I unmask gdm automatically but now there are yet some problems to install it ! I even can't emerge -u world or revdep-rebuild both of them will have error because of dependencies !because I don't have graphical view I should work with console and working with it makes me crazy !I have forgotten the command which I used for pasting code in internet so at first please tell me this and then I can paste you my info here for you to help me !!
any idea?

emerge -atuvND world should build according to your paste, suggest
Code:
emerge -uND --keep-going world
to get that done.

Code:
emerge -av =sys-apps/shadow-4.1.5-r1
emerge -av =sys-auth/pambase-20120417-r1
see if that gets done

Code:
emerge -C udev
emerge systemd
apparently you have reached the point where systemd absorbs udev. Good luck.

This is completely false.

haleh, you have systemd use flag set on at least one package (gnome-shell, I gave up looking after the first instance). Add -systemd to your use flags in make.conf.

Wait, do you want to use systemd? I was under the impression that you didn't after your reaction to DONAHUE, and advised you to add -systemd :D
If you want to use systemd you will have to read the wiki and docs cause it will need setting up first.

Your last blocker seems to be because you have both consolekit and systemd enabled, logind (included in systemd) provides the new consolekit. So you need to disable/mask the consolekit flag.

Oh, and whilst I was skimming over your OP again I came across your complaint about not having graphical environment - if you keep a sysrescuecd around you can boot up in to an xfce environment at correct resolutions - then you can just chroot in in a term and browse the web at the same time :)

rorgoroth: ok !What do you suggest ?using systemd?it seems that it is not recommended by gentoo but I don't have problem with trying it !!Is there any way to restore udev?Is there any doc except http://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Systemd for systemd?

Well, I would personally suggest at least trying it, especially with a DE like Gnome 3.
I'm not sure what you mean by restore udev, systemd provides udev, if you remove systemd you should be able to run update commands and 'udev standalone' will be installed again.

Also, yes, that page is good and will be more then sufficient to get you set up :)
The only other thing, unless it has changed it that sometimes the USE flag is masked so you need do this:
/etc/portage/profile/use.mask wrote:
consolekit
-systemd

@rorgoroth:Thanks for your suggestion and sorry for my delay ,I had midterm exam :( and unfortunately no time !now I am ok ! I think it is better to recover my gentoo completely without any broken then I will try systemd ! I work somehow on it and something good and bad happened!at first emerge gnome-base ran and it emerged some app but when it reached gnome-base/gnome-shell it failed then when I emerge --sync it failed and I don't have any idea why this is happen and also when I ran emerge -uatvND world some app failed to emerge !These are errors

emerge gnome-base/gnome-shell
http://www.bpaste.net/show/96518/

any idea ? I don't think it is related to systemd, isn't it ?what should I do ?what should I fix first and how?
