got the same problem.
looks like the packages kactivities, ksysguard and kmix fail to compile, but no detailed information on the error is given.
I'm trying to update via keep-going to see if kde is still usable afterwards and post the results |

thanks for your reply.
Im use Gentoo since 2005 year approx. and never unmask kde and never knocking out any problems with upgrading stable kde in Gentoo.
I trying understand what happening? May be its global systemd poison or insufficient testing technologies, when release out. I really dont understand how it can happen in stable packages that it cant build in end user system? How to help this to resolve it? Sorry. |

well, using keep-going, you can install at least most of the updates, kde will still be usable (but you need to revdep-rebuild...)
I'll test that |

thanks, but now soprano failed

update:
it seems, that icu-related problems now, after disabling ccache.
Now running revdep-rebuild:
Code: |
[ebuild R ] dev-libs/boost-1.49.0-r2
[ebuild R ] media-libs/libvisio-0.0.26
[ebuild R ] media-libs/raptor-2.0.8
[ebuild R ] dev-qt/qtwebkit-4.8.4
[ebuild R ] net-libs/webkit-gtk-1.8.3-r300
[ebuild R ] net-libs/webkit-gtk-1.8.3-r200
|
Possible icu need to force rebuilding (no libicuuc library, when build soprano - refer to version so 49 but have 51 icu) |

Code: | # FEATURES=-ccache emerge -av1 soprano

modnaruved, did you try to revdep-rebuild?
for me, raptor's linking was inconsistent, no idea if that helps though
Edit: Josef was faster :p |

Thanks a lot guys!!!!!
after remove ccache and full revdep-rebuild and re-emerge soprano problem solved - kde-base/kactivities successed compiled.
About ccache - maybe it disable completely? Why portage cant detect this buggy layer? |
