Is there a way to prevent Easytag from using the clipboard?

Hi.

Each time I make a manual CDDB search with Easytag the search field is pre-filled with items I have placed in the clipboard using Ctrl+C. I always end up clearing that field first before I use it. That is particularly annoying for I more often use Ctrl+C in Thunar instead of text pads and Easytag cluelessly pre-fills that field whatever I have copied, be it also file names from Thunar! I most often use double click/wheel click for copy/paste the keyboard not. Does anybody know how to disable this behaviour in Easytag?

The only clean way to do this would be to patch easytag, you can try asking in their mailing list though I attend there regularly and I think easytab altogether is kind of in maintenance mode.

The only "fugly" hack I can think of is, if your WM supports that kind of thing, wait for focus events, and each time you focus the relevant easytag window (or just easytag altogether) use any external program to empty that buffer. That will of course make you lose all that content though, unless you save it and then put it back when the relevant window loses the focus.

All in all, ugly as an orc.
