No clue.

Any hints?

build with "MAKEOPTS=-j1", then the error should be visible right away.

Worked for me too, thanks!
Could you please add a [solved] at the title? This is worth to be found.

This fix works for the same problem in kde-base/kdelibs-4.8.3 too.

I recompiled my whole world "emerge -e world" (kdelibs-4.8.1-r2) before doing an rsync that brought in all the new kde-4.8.3 ebuilds. media-libs/raptor-2.0.7 was emerged along with the rest of the world before I got the new ebuilds that came with kde-4.8.3.

All I did to create and fix the problem was:
emerge --sync
emerge -uDN world
* kde-base/kdelibs-4.8.3 failed
emerge raptor
emerge -uDN world
* compiled ok

There may be a broken dependency in an ebuild.

Success.

Is it worth getting it onto the bug tracker? I couldn't find it there, but I could be search-failing.

Now, onto ksysguard 4.8.3 :-/

I also had to emerge x11-libs/qt-webkit before I could build kde 4.8.3.
My notes are poor, but I think that is needed to compile ksysguard 4.8.3.

This probably deserves a bug report.

(ksysguard-4.8.1 was failing)

Thnx!

Thanks,

Emerging Raptor worked for me too, upgrading from soprano 2.7.4 to 2.7.6

I just wanted to add myself to the "me too" list. Rebuilding media-libs/raptor so that I could rebuild soprano worked for me when I was trying to upgrade from kdelibs-4.8.1 to kdelibs-4.8.4 x86_64.

Thanks!

Worked for me, with a twist. I emerged raptor on an AMD 6 core and a single AMD, worked, but after the emerge had failed when building kdelib. I built raptor before emerging on an I7, kdelib failed, re-emerged raptor and its working fine.
